Laying Hens:
The uniquely diverse nature of this ration means that it is suitable from day old and all throughout the growing phase of poultry. This feed range avoids waste and the expense of a separate feed throughout the growing phase, as it can be fed to day old chicks through to point of lay hens. It is important to ensure your chicks have free access to feed and water and are protected from any harsh environmental conditions. For very young birds it is necessary to keep them warm with a specialised heater lamp (or light), especially during the colder months. For laying pullets it is also advisable to begin blending the CHF Organic Chick Starter Grower Mash with your preferred CHF Layer ration at 16 weeks of age. This will provide the extra calcium and nutrients to assist with egg development.
Meat Birds
The CHF Organic Chick Starter Grower is equally adaptable when feeding meat birds, once again avoiding the need to swap to a grower ration during the growth cycle; allowing the same feed to be fed from day old until slaughter. (Approx. 8–12 weeks depending on target weights). It is important to ensure your chicks have free access to feed and water and are protected from any harsh environmental conditions including the need for adequate warmth from day old.
